Which goggles are recommended for swimming?
As a club we don't officially endorse any brand of goggles. Goggles are also very user specific as the fit/seal depends on the shape of someone eye socket. However, for information we have various members who use the following googles and seem to be happy with them.
Note: Most googles will lose their anti-mist capabilities, some quite quickly, but this can be solved by using anti-mist spray. There are anti-mist spray products available like Quick Spit, but it's cheaper to get some no tears baby shampoo and mix a solution of it and water into a spray bottle. Just spray on and rinse well before your swim.
- Arena Cobra Ultra - These are a very popular google, they seal well and the Swipe version have very good anti-mist technology. They are low profile so are well suited to racing, however because of this some people can find them uncomfortable for training sessions.
- Speedo Futura Biofuse - Again very popular googles, especially among those who want a good seal with comfort.
